B2B or B2C?

The decision as to whether you apply for a Business-to-Business group or a Business-to-Consumer group can be confusing depending on your type of business.

The basic definitions are:

B2C - Your business PRIMARILY has individuals, families or small companies as clients
B2B - Your business sells products and services to other medium to large businesses

Some companies are both a B2B and a B2C. An example is a CPA who can help an individual (sole proprietor) or assist a corporation. Another example is an insurance agent who services families, but also writes policies that protect business entities.

To help further with your decision, consider this:

The members of your group will become your extended sales team. The prospects referred to you will be people that they know or come in contact with during the course of conducting their business. So, select B2B if the types of business in the group are more likely to refer you business.
